Essential tools and setups for a functional workshop without overspending.

You don’t need a huge budget or a dedicated garage to start making things — just a smart selection of tools and a well-organised space.

For woodworking, start with a handsaw, hammer, clamps, cordless drill, and a basic set of screwdrivers. For crafts, add a cutting mat, craft knife, ruler, and glue gun. A folding workbench can double as a table when not in use.

Good lighting is crucial — an adjustable LED work lamp can make all the difference. And invest in proper safety gear: goggles, dust mask, and ear protection.

As your skills grow, so will your tool collection, but a small, efficient workshop can produce big results.
